Blocks allows users to give Bitcoin as a Christmas gift through the Cash app.

Digital payments company Block (formerly Square) has announced that its cash app users will be able to offer crypto giveaways and giveaways to friends and family during the holidays.

According to a tweet posted on Tuesday, the Cash app said it estimates that around 40 million monthly users can send money or merchandise for as little as $ 1 in a similar gift that they send in cash. The payment company has partnered with other companies, including PayPal and Coinbase, to allow users to send cryptocurrencies to third parties as payment or as a gift.

You can now send transactions or bitcoin for as little as $ 1 using the Cash app. It's as easy as giving money away and you don't need stocks or bitcoin to give it away. So this holiday season, don't forget the candles or cool napkins and help your loved ones start investing.

However, the same study found that most of those surveyed lack the skills to convert cryptocurrencies. Many critics attribute some of the reasons for the large number of bitcoin losses since 2009 when sending bitcoin to new beginners.

Other services accept free cryptocurrency to help those in need while on vacation. Earlier this month, financial technology company Unbanked announced that it would donate toys to Tots, a US Marine Corps project to collect toys and distribute them for children's needs.
