Async.Art Conference: The Power of Programmable NFT Platforms

Q1: Can you introduce yourself and Async.Art?

Conlan Rios: Async.Art is a creative platform for creating powerful and interactive NFTs, creating “programmable arts”, works of art or music, which can be adapted to world events, news and events. communities of authors.

Layers allow you to create art. Async allows writers to break down tasks into layers and create tokens for themselves. Writers are creative and manage every token. The owner can change its state, position, orientation or size at any time.

I am the founder and CEO of Async Art. When I first entered the digital realm I was developing DeFi, but then I came across DApp called Cryptovoxels and entered the world of NFT. Cryptovoxels are cyberspace. From 2019, we started renting virtual rooms for NFT artists.

Q2: Why did you go into the NFT fields and develop Async.Art? Can you tell an interesting story?

Conlan Rios: At the end of 2019, I had the idea to create a work of art for myself. At the time, I was writing hundreds of NFTs, but I think most of them weren't using fully digital media. As a game developer, I have the idea that the viewer (player) can have a digital work of art and work with the artist.

Layered artwork is created based on this idea. I'm not an artist, so I decided to create a platform where other artists could use the platform's tools.

The platform's first masterpiece is "First Night", a collaboration of 13 digital professionals. The artists have contributed one or more layers, and the scale of this collaboration has never been greater over time. Total body and coating sales over $ 80,000, setting new records in 2020.

Async Art also created one of the “firsts” of the NFT.

The first coin in the NFT sector to be auctioned by Christie's is Async. The artwork is Robert Alice's Block 21, one of the "Portraits of the Mind" series.

Q4: Can you call it "smart NFT" because the handle can change the process? I am thinking of creating a character in 3D, is it the same? Can you share the process on Async.Art?

Conlan Rios: We call it “programmable art” or “interactive NFT”. However, owners can only edit the page provided in advance by the artist. So, for example, an artist can only assign two states to a layer, the master can only choose between these two states. Assuming the artist provides the minimum and maximum value, the owner can only move layers within these limits. This means that the owner of the layer "does" some of the work and cannot modify the layer as they wish.

Q5: The NFT field pays a lot of attention to PNG and JPG formats, but Async.Music brings music programming into the category of NFT tools. What is the reason? How to promote the development of music?

Conlan Rios: We are releasing Async Music in April 2021. Musicians can use Async Music to tokenize a song as a key or ensemble. The reason we released Async Music is because musicians have already received this request and we want to introduce new ideas into NFT.

We have also introduced the concept of “anonymous data” in Async Music. These tokens are interchangeable (according to the ERC1155 standard) and can be "burned" to record real-time events on asynchronous music tracks. In this case, we are expanding the range of participants. They are not only masters of important roles and layers. There are three rare levels: Platinum, Gold, and Silver.

Q6: Can you express your favorite Async.Art NFT? Why?

Conlan Rios: Async currently has no direct competitors, but every platform has competed for inspiration and popular writing. We believe that artists will become more mature in their knowledge of technology and that writers will have more confidence in the work they receive.

Q8: How do you plan to integrate programmable artwork and programmable NFTs into a meta world? What are the business prospects for NFTs in the next three years?

Conlan Rios: New communities and experiences will continue to emerge from the smaller blockchains. Async's mission is to create a vision for the future of blockchain, and we will continue to work on integrating multiple chains in the future.

Conlan Rios: We will continue to improve the usability of NFT writing devices and bring them to manufacturers around the world.
