According to CoinDesk on June 5, the US Department of Justice today announced that Latvian Alla Witte is involved in the global cybercriminal organization that created and distributed the Trickbot-banking malware computer program called Trickbot for consumers, businesses and other organizations. The Trickbot ransomware informs victims that their computer is encrypted and requires special software to determine the location of the Bitcoin addresses maintained by the Trickbot team. Witte has provided the Trickbot Group with policies to track user access to malware and has developed tools and procedures to collect user credentials.
