DOJ Charges Hacker fxmsp for Illegally Obtaining Crypto Assets

The US Department of Justice (DoJ) has indicted Kazakh hacker Andrey Turchin on multiple counts of government terrorism as "fxmsp", the Cointelegraph reported on July 9. Turchin claims to have created a cybercriminal group that supports cryptojacking services on the dark web. and sells access to corporate network information. Today, he raised $1 million in cryptocurrency over three years by selling access to a network of thousands of malware. Turchin is suing in western Washington for attacks on businesses in more than 40 countries.
