Former BitMEX CEO surrenders to US authorities

On April 7, Bloomberg reported that former BitMEX CEO Arthur Hayes had relied on US officers in Hawaii for allegedly spending money on laundry without taking action to tackle the blockage of cryptocurrency exchanges he created. Previously, prior to the 2020 news, the US Commodity Futures Market (CFTC) raped four founders and executives of the cryptocurrency exchange BitMEX for failing to take the necessary design steps to protect the financial system. Since then, the top executives of BitMEX have undergone major changes and Arthur Hayes has stepped down as CEO.
