BitShares lead developer sparked controversy by changing voting rules without community consent.

According to the BitShares conference, on July 30, Abit, the lead developer, released the latest 4.0 update which updated users' voting rights. However, according to the community, the voting rights were changed after the amendment, but before the amendment, the councils and community members were unaware, and Abbit did not start voting. This has led to the annoyance of many members who think BitShares is too important, and some users find the new rules too onerous.
