PolkaWorld, the political community of Polkadot, in a January 6 article, announced that Parity had formed a "partnership lottery" to encourage communities to become more involved in the administration of the channels. Parity Engineer Shawn Tabrizi announced yesterday that the code for the participating lottery module has been uploaded to the Substrate library. This means that in the future all channels based on substrates (e.g. Polkadot, Kusama and most of the channels in the Polkadot ecosystem) will use this feature to create user participation rights, elections, political elections and votes. Currently, this model has not been tested and its use with Kusama is still under discussion.
