Jack Zampolin, Cosmos SDK Product Manager, tweeted on January 1 that Cosmos and Ethereum were an add-on. He said the bridge was designed to provide both contract ownership and equipment to existing service providers in the ETH chain's DeFi application. Additionally, Cosmos never sees itself as an Ethereum killer.
