Forbes published an article Thursday describing the efforts of the cryptocurrency exchange Binance to crack down on investigations by U.S. regulators in the media. Forbes noted that Binance has "developed a well-crafted design scheme to trick regulators into securing secret benefits from US cryptocurrency investors." Forbes said the information was being sent to law firms, financial institutions and other agencies involved with Binance, and there was speculation the FBI and IRS were investigating. In response, Forbes contacted Binance founder Zhao Changpeng and chief compliance officer Samuel Lim about the leaked information, but received no response.
