National Security Council (NSC) selects DLT as key technology candidate

According to CoinDesk on October 16, Trump officials joined forces behind cryptocurrency and blockchain “distributed ledger (DLT) technology” in a plan to protect U.S. processes. DLT is one of the top 20 “Basic and Emerging Technology” candidate lists released by the National Security Council on Thursday, according to the report.

On October 16, CoinDesk announced that the Trump administration had joined the "Technology Division" (DLT), the technology behind cryptocurrencies and blockchains, in a bid to counter America's best technology. DLT is said to be one of 20 sites focusing on the National Security Council's Critical Emerging Technologies candidate list announced Thursday.
