UK HMRC has confirmed it is collecting data from Coinbase. Coinbase claims less than 3% of UK consumers are affected.

On October 3, The Block announced that HM Revenue and Legal Affairs (HMRC) had confirmed that the organization had seen information about the tax exemption on Coinbase and other crypto platforms. "We want to believe that we want to help people file their taxes legally, and we want taxpayers to make it their policy," said the HMRC spokesperson.
