According to The Daily Hodl on July 13, the Cambridge Bitcoin Consumer Index estimates that the Bitcoin network consumes 59.19 TWh per year, more electricity than Switzerland as a whole. The power consumption of the Bitcoin network also represents 0.27% of the total global power consumption.
