Public campaign channel Algorand announced that it had destroyed a total of around 25 million exchanged tokens and would no longer be in circulation. Algorand auction rights entitle the auctioneer to receive a refund of 90% of the auction price. The refund process in early 2019 is complete. About 20 million ALGO were reimbursed on a voluntary basis and the reimbursement process was completed in June 2020. In the first round, nearly 25 million ALGO, of which about 5 million ALGO are not for sale, can be redeemed. This means that around 25 million ALGO have been bought back.
