Gavin Wood: Polkadot's first general election in the administration will begin and will determine whether to split the DOT.

Polkadot founder Gavin Wood said in a new statement that Polkadot's first election administration will begin. In the next few days, Polkadot will hold a vote to decide whether to change the name of the DOT base token, which will give four options (multiple choice) to vote from the wallet and alternately for two weeks. The four lines are: 1. No change from the original 2017 sales means there is a total of 10 million DOT in the Genesis block 2. Divide 10 times on the original sale, i.e. say a total of 100 million DOT 3. First with a total of 1 billion DOT Divide 100 times the sales 4. Divide by 1000 times the initial sales (10 billion DOT in total).
