According to CoinDesk, on September 10, the US Treasury Department's Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) added three Russians and some cryptocurrency sites to the sanctions list for election interference. OFAC claims that Artem Lifshits, Anton Andreyev and Darya Aslanova are employees of the Internet Research Institute, a Russian company trying to influence the electoral situation. The Irish Republican Army (IRA) sought to intervene in the midterm elections in the United States in 2018, and OFAC on Thursday demanded that work be underway.
