On September 4, the Blockstream Operations Commission (CSO) tweeted that Bitcoin's value in lightning is not a clear indication of its adoption, especially when paired with privacy. The Lightning Network is designed for micropayments and e-commerce, and merchants will eventually want to shut down the channel and move and store tokens.
