Preliminary tests of the Russian blockchain voting system developed by Waves have been completed.

On August 27, Cointelegraph announced that Russian telecommunications giant Rostelekom had tested the blockchain-based election in partnership with Waves Enterprise with the Russian Ministry of Digital Development and Communications. It was reported that 30,000 people participated in the pre-test to test the functionality and capabilities of the platform. According to the expert from Russian Telecom, the system worked well during the test and did not fail despite the high load. The platform will organize by-elections in the Kursk and Yaroslavl regions from September 11 to 13. Another by-election will be held on August 31 depending on the final system evaluation before submitting the facts.
