Mexico's Financial Intelligence Unit recently announced the results of its second national risk assessment, according to Economista on August 26. The report shows that the risk of bank laundering outweighs the challenges facing financial technology companies. The "G7 Banks" group, which includes Banco BBVA, Santander, Citi, Banorte, HSBC, Scotiabank and Inbursa, recorded more money launderers in Mexico than blockchain companies, the statement said. Corporations, stock exchanges and banking resources also include the “high risk” category in the report.
