BitGo wants to create Ethereum side chain for WBTC as Ethereum prices rise.

BitGo CTO Ben Chan told CoinDesk on August 25 that digital trust company BitGo is working with community partners to create an Ethereum side chain as Ethereum prices rise. The first BitGo product, WBTC, was the ERC-20 token which traded 1: 1 with Bitcoin. Currently, the company has secured around 46,000 bitcoins, worth over $ 500 million, through its escrow service.
