Bitcoin enthusiast Jack Dorsey, founder and CEO of Twitter and Square, has donated an additional $3 million to the American-made Universal Basic Income (UBI) program, Decrypt Data. In April, Dorsey pledged $1 billion worth of Square Stock, equivalent to one-third of its total assets, to fight COVID-19. Dorsey's total assets are estimated at $4.5 billion, primarily held by Twitter and Square. Dorsey describes 66 clients and has been using his foundation for donations since April and has given more than $88.5 million so far. The Universal Basic Income (UBI) program has received wide attention with the support of this year's Democratic President, Andrew Yang, a supporter of the cryptocurrency community. UBI simply means providing an unlimited amount of $1,000 per month to all US citizens aged 18 or over. But Andrew Yang announced his departure earlier this year during the US presidential election earlier this year.
