According to BeInCrypto, on August 20, the CEO of ConsenSys first submitted an EIP-2878 application to reduce energy costs to 0.5 ETH. Ethereum miners have raised concerns about the cost reduction decision, and the people I have special GPUs with are not happy with the demand. The previous energy reduction is 40% to 33%, and the reduction from 2 ETH to 0.5 ETH will reduce the energy block by 75%, which miners off the grid, reducing overall security.
