According to the On-Chain Bureau of Investigation, Tether recently blocked 39 Ethereum addresses, with a total of $5.51 million in USDT being shut down. Once these addresses are blocked, they can no longer be received and sent to work. One of the highest settlements was 4.56 million USDT. The reason these addresses were blocked appears to have been created by Tether in conjunction with the US police investigation. In recent years, the use of USDT for non-digital exchange purposes has increased, and more over-the-counter lending and funds transfers have begun to use USDT.
