According to reports on January 25, Octopus Network will deliver the first bridge between Cosmos and Astar Network. Astar Network aims to be a multi-channel, multi-virtual machine connected to multiple L1 blockchains on Polkadot. Octopus Network is a beneficiary of the Astar Builders program. The Astar core team and the Octopus team have worked together to complete the Polkadot and Cosmos interconnect, and both parties expect to deliver the bridge in Q1 2022. Previously, Asta Network used Cosmos SDK based blockchain secret network and testnet bridge. However, since this testnet bridge is based on EVM, only blockchains supporting EVM and Cosmos SDK are compatible. Currently, the Octopus team is building a bridge to connect to the Astar network, allowing the Cosmos SDK-based blockchain to integrate with the Astar network and connect to the Polkadot ecosystem through Astar.
