Coinbase employs former SEC adviser as chief justice

Crypto exchange Coinbase (COIN) has hired former U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) employee Thaya Knight as its public policy officer, Golden Financial reported. Knight has been an adviser to SEC Chairman Elad Roisman since November 2020. Roisman has served as chairman since 2018 and will serve from December 2020 through 2021 before the departure of Jay Clayton and Gary Gensler were arrested on Friday. He also resigned from the SEC after becoming chief executive in April. Knight is the former adviser to SEC Director Hester Pierce from 2018 to 2019. (Coin Desk)
