According to the Golden Financial report, US Treasury analyst Alkesh Shah said that CBDCs are an indispensable currency in today's e-money. The US Central Bank Digital Currency (CBDC) will be different from current digital currencies for the public because it is Federal Reserve debt rather than corporate, and has no credit or income risk. Prior to the CBDC's announcement, Bank of America said confidentiality, mediation, exchange and certification requirements were key to the decision. The report says that with more payment options, this is especially true because cross-border payments are faster and cheaper than using fiat currency. (Change machine)
