On January 24, NEAR announced the announcement of Machina, its first fragmented data storage project. Machina was developed by the development team in conjunction with NEAR, Aurora and the HAPI online security process, and uses NEAR's Nightshade technology to expand data storage and support EVM-compatible protocol such as Aurora . Machina uses data-based storage for all direct transfers to data-based storage, eliminating the time needed to retrieve or download data. Also, since Machina does not use smart contracts, it does not use Turing's full random count. In other words, Machina doesn't need more gas. Currently, the Machina Storage Network is expected to be announced in Q4 2022.

Telegram founder Pavel Durov tweeted that banning cryptocurrency would "destroy part of the high tech industry". "These limitations will slow the overall development of blockchain technology that improves the performance and security of many human activities, from finance to entertainment," he added. And Leonid Volkov said it was "impossible" to ban cryptocurrencies. On Thursday, the Central Bank of Russia issued a proclamation banning all cryptocurrency and mining operations in Russia.
