According to a January 19 report, the world's largest diamond, Enigma, will be auctioned online at Sotheby's auction house on February 3, with a minimum exchange rate of £5 million (about 43, 34 million yuan). The black diamond called "The Enigma" has 55 faces and weighs 555.55 carats. In 2006, it entered the Guinness Book of World Records as the largest cut diamond in the world. In addition to the traditional perks, Sotheby's accepts payment in Bitcoin, Ethereum, and the USDC stablecoin from this competition. This is the second time Sotheby's has received payment in cryptocurrency at a diamond auction. In July, the retailer sold the diamond for $12.3 million to an undisclosed buyer who purchased 101.38 carat diamonds in cryptocurrency.
