ICON plans to release the ICON2.2 update in January and upgrade its BTP technology release.

On January 3, ICON Blockchain updated its development. The main goal in January of this year is to support ICON 2.2. This update will be the final step in the transition from ICON 1.0 to ICON 2.0. As part of this update, ICON intends to increase the critical number of P-Reps from 22 to 25. ICON 2.2 will also include new government scores written in Java, and contractors will be affected. Regarding the integrated Transmission Protocol (BTP) blockchain solution, the goal is to complete the following tasks by January. - Initiate research to reduce fuel consumption in the Trustless Bridge model. - Use the migration agreement between MoonRiver testnet and ICON's testnet Berlin for testing. - Once the fuel issues were resolved, the contract was sent to the mainline MoonRiver and ICON. - Full integration of NEAR and Nexus Portal. - More integration (to be decided). - Start integrating DApps with DApps and present real applications on exchange chains.
