On December 6, Brad Jones, Acting CEO of the Texas Electrical Reliability Commission (ERCOT) announced his support for Bitcoin. "I am a Bitcoin fan ... but I risk becoming a Bitcoin trader." ERCOT reported energy in about 90% of the states. Brad Jones points out that Bitcoin mining in the state can benefit both the Texas and Bitcoin networks.
