The US House of Representatives has asked the Speaker of the House to change the encryption rules in the Infrastructure Act.

On November 21, ten members of the House of Representatives wrote a joint letter to President Nancy Pelosi asking her to address the issue of encryption rights in the infrastructure law. The letter was signed by Darren Soto, Ro Khanna, Stacey Plaskett, Eric Swalwell, Tim Ryan, Susan Wild, Marc Veasey, Jake Auchinclos, Al Lawson and Charlie Crist. The letter said that "those who profit from the cryptocurrency market should pay fair taxes" and urges regulators to ensure that cryptocurrencies cannot easily cross the laws and rules for terrorists.
