BitClub programmer claims mining program stole $722 million worth of Bitcoin

According to a July 10 Coindesk report, the 35-year-old Romanian Bitclub network programmer confirmed on Thursday that he was involved in the development of the Ponzi mining scheme that tricked investors into trading hundreds of millions of dollars to Bitcoin. Miner Silviu Catalin Balaci admitted in his defense that BitClub caused financial damage, and lawyers allege the mining pool stole $722 million in Bitcoin over five years.
