According to a July 10 Financial Magnates report, the New York High Court denied Bitfinex's appeal against the NYAG law, effectively interfering with the New York Attorney General's attempted denial due to overdetermination. Furthermore, the New York Supreme Court has again rejected the argument that US law does not apply to popular cryptocurrency exchanges based in Hong Kong but are registered in the British Virgin Islands.
