Knowledge of cryptocurrencies has grown, according to Golden Financial, in a Pew Research Center study of more than 10,000 US voters based on where they live. According to the survey, more than four-fifths (86%) of those polled "have heard of certain cryptocurrencies." In a similar survey with Bitcoin in 2015, only 48% of respondents have heard of Bitcoin. However, according to the Pew Research Center, only 16% of people "use, invest, trade, or otherwise use" cryptocurrencies, and less than 10% report "ignoring" cryptocurrencies. In addition, the number of Americans between the ages of 18 and 29 who invest in cryptocurrencies is higher than that of adults. Men are twice as likely to use cryptocurrency as women. African incomes seem to hear a lot more "crypto talk" compared to middle or low African incomes.
