According to local media N1, the Slovenian Ministry of Finance is seeking public comments on the law on the collection of taxes on cryptocurrency. Almost a month after the Treasury Department of the Republic of Slovenia (FURS) announced a 10% tax on cryptocurrency transactions, the Ministry of Finance plans to measure consumer sentiment. Once the Slovenian tax code comes into effect, the proposed law would result in a 10% tax rate on all fiat-to-crypto exchanges and cryptocurrency payments. However, the tax exemption is set at 15,000 euros per year (approximately US $ 17,387). Traders are within the limits of the cryptocurrency tax. As previously reported by the Cointelegraph, the cryptocurrency tax bill in Slovenia is limited only to the purchase, service and exchange of cryptocurrency assets for fiat. The financial request must be received by November 10, but the law will come into force on January 1, 2022. (Cointelegraph)
