On August 31, MatterLabs announced the latest update to the 2-tier Ethereum zkSync2.0 solution and explained why zkSync2.0 has been delayed. Over the past six months, MatterLabs has tested the Node, zkEVM, Collaboration and Zinc compiler. The content is now fully integrated with the Web3 API, the Ethers SDK and L1 to L2 communication. Current issues include the integration or user interface and data contained in the process, L2 to L1 communication, and working with the Vyper team to create the Vyper-to-LLVM front-end. The testnet will slowly open in three stages, with the first phase releasing the first version of the process in a few weeks, the second phase being open to those who want to create content, and the third has been announced to the public. for everyone. For some reason, MatterLabs initially went with the LLVM compiler framework, but the inconsistency between the zkSync and LLVM architecture took longer to integrate with MatterLabs. MatterLabs promises that the mainnet will boot up honestly and everyone will have the opportunity to plan and launch zkSync operations based on it.
