Bank of Korea to test CBDC on Samsung Galaxy phone

The Bank of Korea is testing and implementing the new CBDC for Galaxy smartphones. We are testing whether offline crypto payment is possible among users. The first phase of the trial will run until December and the use of the technology will be measured. The second phase is expected to take effect from January to June next year and will assess the Bank of Korea's potential to expand its corporate operations to include CBDCs. (decryption)
