Bitcoin mining company Bitfarms released an update on its Bitcoin production on July 14, according to Financialpost. Bitfarms mined 1,357 bitcoins using green hydro power in the first six months of 2021, the highest number of bitcoins mined in North America reported by public market miners. As of July 12, Bitfarms held 1,445 Bitcoins, representing over 95% of the company's Bitcoin production this year. With 265 new bitcoins mined in June 2021, Bitfarms reached its highest monthly production in 2021, about a third more than its mining production in January of the same year. 1,500 MicroBT Bitcoin miners have been installed in Bitfarms' Magog data center, increasing total Bitfarms production by 120 PH / s by June 2021. Additionally, Bitfarms plans to mine over 400 bitcoins in July.
